No, GTA 6 is not delayed. As of 13 October 2026, Take-Two and Rockstar still say Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, 19 November 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nothing official has moved the date since Rockstar set it on 6 November 2025.

The 29 August date is when Insider Gaming published its report. It read the Japanese interview through an automatic translation, which is why we label the quote Reported rather than Confirmed.
The strongest entries are the two earnings releases from May and August. A quote can be walked back. A lineup table and a full-year outlook filed with results are formal statements to investors, and our breakdown of what the Q1 results actually said explains why that outlook is hard to square with a delay.
How the date got here: two delays
GTA 6 has moved twice, and both moves came the same way: Rockstar announced them, and Take-Two confirmed them to investors on the same day.
- Fall 2025. The original window. Take-Two's own release from May 2025 describes the game as having been "expected to launch in Fall of 2025."
- 2 May 2025: moved to 26 May 2026. Rockstar announced the new date, and Take-Two filed it with the SEC that day, with Zelnick saying the company supported Rockstar "taking additional time."
- 6 November 2025: moved to 19 November 2026. Rockstar posted the new date on its Newswire, and Take-Two's Q2 FY2026 results the same day carried the headline "Grand Theft Auto VI now launching November 19, 2026."
That history is why people keep asking. It is also why a rumour is not a delay. Both real delays came from Rockstar and Take-Two directly, on the record, not from a leaker or an anonymous post.

The next scheduled moment is Take-Two's fiscal second-quarter results, covering the three months to 30 September. Take-Two announced on 13 October that it reports them after the market close on Monday, 9 November 2026, with the call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
