Preorders for GTA 6 opened on June 25, 2026. There are exactly two editions — no collector's edition has been announced. Here's what each contains and our honest take on which to buy.

The Vintage Vice City Pack (every preorder before November 20): a '55 Vapid Stanier, the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach, exclusive outfits and hairstyles, and a weapon pattern.
Which should you buy?
Nothing in the Ultimate Edition gates gameplay — it's vehicles, spaces and cosmetics. If $20 matters, the Standard Edition plus the preorder bonus loses you nothing story- or progression-wise. If you know you'll live in this game for years (be honest), the Ultimate extras are the kind you'd otherwise wish you had on day one.

⚠ The physical-copy catch
The boxed "physical" edition contains a download code — no disc. This caused a real backlash when it emerged in late June 2026, and some independent retailers refuse to stock it. A disc release later has been rumored but is not confirmed. If disc ownership matters to you, know what's in the box before you buy.
