What platforms is GTA 6 on?

PS5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X S. No other platforms are announced. Our platforms guide shows the official evidence that rules out PS4, Xbox One and Switch 2.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Not announced. Rockstar has followed a console-first pattern before — GTA V's PC version came about 19 months after console launch. Our PC version watch tracks this.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

$79.99 (Standard) or $99.99 (Ultimate). Editions compared.

When does preload start?

November 12, 2026 for digital versions, at midnight local time. Boxed copies need the code redeemed first, so a late delivery means a late preload.

What time does GTA 6 unlock on launch day?

Not announced yet. Rockstar has confirmed a time for preload but not for launch itself, and the "midnight local time" tables you'll find elsewhere are estimates rather than anything Rockstar published. How big is the download?

Does the physical edition include a disc?

No. The boxed edition contains a download code. A disc version later is rumored, not confirmed. Details.

Is there a new trailer coming?

Yes. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres Thursday, August 27, 2026. Rockstar announced it on August 6. It debuts on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET, then goes up free on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official GTA VI site at 9 p.m. ET the same night. Start times for every timezone.

What about GTA Online 2 / multiplayer?

No successor to GTA Online has been announced, and GTA 6 ships as a single-player game. PlayStation's own store listing describes it as a single-player experience and lists 1 player, which is the only official statement on the subject: what that listing does and doesn't prove. Any release date you see for a new GTA Online is invented.
