Trailer 3 Watch: What We Actually Know (and What We Don't)

What's confirmed
- Take-Two said in May that the marketing campaign begins in summer 2026. Preorders and the cover art (June) were plausibly its opening moves.
- Trailer 1 (December 2023) and Trailer 2 (May 2025) are the only trailers to date. Trailer 2 set an all-time record with 475M+ views in 24 hours.
- As of 20 July, Rockstar had said nothing about Trailer 3: no date, no tease. That changed on 6 August, when Rockstar dated an Extended Look for 27 August.
What's informed reading
With the World Cup final (July 19) out of the way, the entertainment calendar is clear, and the game launches in exactly four months. Rockstar's own GTA V playbook had a major gameplay showing in the final pre-launch stretch. Most press expects Trailer 3 — likely story-focused — sometime between now and early fall, possibly around Take-Two's August 7 earnings call. We've broken down what that call can and can't tell you.

Update, 8 August 2026: Rockstar has dated the next reveal. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on 27 August at 3 p.m. ET, then arrives free on YouTube and the official site six hours later.
