GTA 6 Leaker Cyberleek Is Back With a 25-Minute Leak

ReportedEdited by Dexerto4 min read

The anonymous GTA 6 leaker known as Cyberleek is back. On 8 October, outlets including Dexerto and GamesRadar+ reported a new file of alleged gameplay footage, after more than a month of silence.

This carries our Reported badge. Nobody on the record has confirmed that the material is real, and neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has said anything about it. We are not linking to the file, hosting it or describing what is in it. If you want to avoid spoilers, the rest of this post tells you what is safe to know.

What the reports say

Dexerto describes a ZIP file of more than 370 MB holding about 25 minutes of gameplay footage, titled "Extended Leek", a play on Rockstar's official Extended Look. GamesRadar+ puts the size at 367 MB and attributes the first alert to Rockstar community member TexFunz2, who posted about it on X. Gameranx also covers the release.

The same reports say the footage includes mission cutscenes and driving content, and that it spread quickly on social media once it surfaced. Dexerto adds that Cyberleek's website showed signs of life earlier in the month: a poll full of question marks appeared on 5 October, with voting set to close on 8 October.

What nobody has verified

Dexerto is direct about the limits: "the authenticity of the new footage has not been independently verified", and it "remains unclear" whether the upload comes from the same person or group behind the August leaks. Rockstar "has not publicly addressed" it, per the same article. We checked Rockstar's own GTA VI page today. Its Featured News block still lists nothing newer than the 24 September Vice City Collection pre-order post.

GamesRadar+ also flags that the footage reportedly shows a first-person view. Treat that as a claim about a leak, not a feature announcement. Rockstar has never confirmed a first-person mode for GTA 6, and a leaked clip is not a substitute for that. If Rockstar adds it to a store listing or the Newswire, we will cover it as news.

There is a second caveat even if the footage is genuine. In August, the alleged leakers themselves said their clips were years old, which is why we advised against reading them as a preview of the final game. A build can be real and still not match what ships on 19 November. Late-stage polish, UI and even whole features can change, so a leaked clip is a poor guide to what you will play.

Why the history matters

This is not a new kind of event. The first wave on 18 August came with a manifesto and a memecoin, and our verified rundown of the August leak covers the early claims that the footage was years old. A week later we reported that the wallets behind it moved about $268,000, and GamesRadar+ now notes the leaker went quiet after "about $250,000 in crypto earnings".

Dexerto recalls that Rockstar called the August situation "heartbreaking" and that Take-Two went to court to identify the person responsible. That part is documented in filings: the company asked for a second Discord subpoena to be sealed, and described its probe as "rapidly evolving". Whether a new upload changes anything for that investigation is not reported.

How to protect yourself and your launch

Spoilers are the obvious risk. GamesRadar+ suggests muting leak-related terms on social media, and that is sound advice if you want to go into Vice City cold. Platforms and Take-Two will probably start takedowns, so reposts will come and go.

The less obvious risk is your device. Every leak cycle brings imitators: fake "full leak" downloads, fake demos and fake "early access" links. After the August wave, Malwarebytes found that fake GTA 6 demo sites delivered an infostealer. A ZIP from an unknown uploader is exactly how that kind of payload travels. GTA 6 has no demo and no public build, so any file claiming to run the game is malware or a scam until proven otherwise.

If you want to judge leaks yourself, our guide on why most GTA 6 leaks turn out to be fake lists the tells: recycled footage, unverifiable uploaders, and a payment link attached.

What is actually confirmed

Strip away the leak and the facts are the same as yesterday. Rockstar has not moved the 19 November release date, and everything it has said officially is collected on our everything we know hub. Anything from a leak, this one included, stays out of that list until Rockstar says it.

We will update this post if Rockstar, Take-Two or a court filing addresses the new file.
