Who Is Brian Heder in GTA 6? Official Bio and Links

Brian Heder is the old guard of the Leonida Keys: a smuggler from the trade's golden age who now lets younger men take the risks. His tagline is pure retiree, "Nothing better than a Mudslide at sunset", and his bio makes him the man Jason actually works for.

Brian is a classic Keys smuggler

Rockstar calls him a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He is still moving product through his boat yard, alongside his third wife, Lori, and he has been around long enough to let others do his dirty work. GTA BOOM's profile carries the same details.

His lines are the best boasts on Rockstar's site. "I hauled so much grass in that plane, I could make the state of Leonida levitate." And, about him: "Looks like a Leonida beach bum — moves like a great white shark."

Jason pays his rent in shakedowns

Brian's bio is where Jason's job gets a name. Brian is letting Jason live rent-free at one of his properties, so long as he helps with local shakedowns and stops by for Lori's sangria once in a while. Jason's own bio only says he works for "local drug runners". Brian's tells you who.

Cal Hampton is the other link. Cal's bio calls him a fellow associate of Brian's, as well as Jason's friend. On the evidence board, Brian, Jason and Cal form the only closed triangle. Lori sits below him as a dashed note: named in his bio, with no profile of her own.

Stephen Root is probably his voice

Brian is the one character with a voice-actor lead. On 14 September, Stephen Root confirmed to the Associated Press that he is in GTA 6. He didn't name his character. Fans had matched his voice to Brian Heder in trailer footage months earlier. So Root's casting is confirmed, and the Brian part is reported. Our cast guide tracks it.

What his file can't tell you yet

Rockstar hasn't said how big Brian's part in the story is, or whether the boat yard is somewhere you can visit. When the game is out on 19 November, this page will add what he actually does.
